Wie würdest du jemandem Hannibal. beschreiben, der die Marke noch nicht kennt?

"Fantastische Schnitte, eine einzigartige Qualität der Stoffe und eine Verarbeitung, die man sofort spürt. Egal zu welchem Anlass - man kann jedes Teil tragen und ist immer genau richtig angezogen. Mal casual, mal chic, aber nie aufgesetzt. Genau diese Mischung macht Hannibal. für mich besonders."

Wenn du schätzen müsstest: Wie viele Anzüge, Outfits oder besondere Pieces von Hannibal. haben sich über die Jahre bei dir angesammelt?

"Mein Ziel ist es mittlerweile tatsächlich, nur noch Hannibal. zu tragen. Als ich letztens nachgeschaut habe, waren es bereits 14 T-Shirts. Dazu kommen drei maßgeschneiderte Anzüge, zwei von der Stange, ungefähr acht Hosen, mehrere Sweater und noch einige weitere besondere Pieces. Über die Jahre ist da einiges zusammengekommen."

How would you describe Hannibal. to someone who doesn’t know the brand yet?

"Fantastic cuts, exceptional fabrics, and a level of craftsmanship you notice immediately. No matter the occasion, every piece just works - you always feel perfectly dressed. Sometimes casual, sometimes more elegant, but never overdressed. That balance is what makes Hannibal. so special to me."

If you had to estimate: how many suits, outfits, or special Hannibal. pieces have you collected over the years?

"My goal now is honestly to wear only Hannibal. I checked recently and already own 14 of your T-shirts. On top of that, I’ve had three custom suits made, bought two off the rack, probably around eight pairs of trousers, several sweaters, and quite a few other special pieces. Over the years, a pretty serious collection has come together."

„In München gibt es viele starke Brands. Was macht Hannibal. für Dich besonders?“

Hannibal. ist für mich einzigartig, weil die Marke auf eine sehr subtile Art heraussticht und gleichzeitig eine außergewöhnliche Qualität bietet. Ich mag keine plakativ gebrandeten Labels - bei Hannibal. erkennt man die Kleidung über den Schnitt, die Linienführung und die Silhouette.

Die Schnitte passen perfekt zu meinem Stil und auch die Stoffe sind für mich etwas Besonderes. Qualität, Verarbeitung und Details sind einfach auf einem extrem hohen Niveau. Was ich außerdem schätze: Die Kleidung funktioniert nicht nur im Moment, sondern auch noch Jahre später.

Das Besondere ist für mich aber vor allem die Flexibilität. Ich kann die Pieces gemeinsam mit euch an meine eigenen Ideen und Vorstellungen anpassen. Genau diese Mischung aus Qualität, Handwerk und Individualität macht Hannibal. für mich so besonders.

Hannibal. is unique to me because the brand stands out in a very subtle way while offering exceptional quality at the same time. I’m not a fan of loud or overly branded fashion - with Hannibal., you recognize the pieces through the cuts, silhouettes, and lines rather than logos.

The fits match my personal style perfectly, and the fabrics are truly something special. The quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are on an incredibly high level. What I also appreciate is that the clothing still works years later.

What makes Hannibal. especially special to me is the flexibility. I’m able to adapt pieces together with you to fit my own ideas and vision. That combination of quality, craftsmanship, and individuality is what makes the brand stand out to me.

„Vom Profisportler zum Hut-Macher. Wie genau ist das passiert?“

Nach einer Verletzung im Jahr 2019 und einer langen Reha-Phase wurde mir irgendwann klar, dass ich meine Karriere als Eishockey-Profi beenden muss. Das war natürlich ein großer Einschnitt, aber gleichzeitig auch der Moment, in dem ich mich intensiver mit meiner zweiten Leidenschaft beschäftigt habe: Mode. Stil und Kleidung waren schon immer ein wichtiger Teil meines Lebens.
Der entscheidende Impuls kam dann durch meinen damaligen Geschäftspartner Gabriel. Er hat in Wien einen Hut-Workshop bei Nuriel Molcho besucht, und daraus entstand die Idee, ein eigenes Hut-Label zu gründen. Kurz darauf bin ich für vier Wochen nach Australien gereist. Während eines Roadtrips habe ich dort eine Hutmacherin kennengelernt, bei der ich meine ersten sechs Hüte gefertigt habe. Dabei konnte ich das Handwerk von Grund auf lernen - und genau dort hat die ganze Reise eigentlich begonnen.

“From professional athlete to hat maker - how did that happen?”
After an injury in 2019 and a long rehabilitation period, I eventually realized that I had to retire from professional ice hockey. It was obviously a major turning point in my life, but at the same time it gave me the opportunity to focus more on my second passion: fashion. Style and clothing had always played an important role in my life.
The decisive inspiration came from my former business partner, Gabriel. He attended a hat-making workshop in Vienna with Nuriel Molcho, and that experience sparked the idea of creating our own hat label. Shortly afterwards, I traveled to Australia for four weeks. During a road trip, I met a hat maker who gave me the opportunity to create my first six hats while learning the craft from the ground up. That was really where the whole journey began.

„Natürlich erinnere ich mich daran. Ich bin 2021 gerade nach München gezogen und durch mein neues Viertel spaziert. Dabei ist mir euer Laden aufgefallen. Mode hat mich schon immer begeistert - deshalb konnte ich an Hannibal. nicht einfach vorbeigehen.“

„Weißt du noch, welches dein erstes Teil von Hannibal. war?“

„Auf jeden Fall - und sogar ganz genau. Es war die Hose Hoger, die ihr leider inzwischen aus dem Programm genommen habt, zusammen mit einem passenden Hemd mit angeschnittenem Stehkragen. Das Outfit trage ich heute noch sehr gerne.“

Tatsächlich haben wir Patricks ersten Kauf damals auf unserem Social-Media-Kanal festgehalten. Wer hätte gedacht, dass daraus fünf Jahre später eine gemeinsame Geschichte entsteht.

“Patrick, do you remember when and where you first discovered Hannibal.?”

“Of course I do. I had just moved to Munich in 2021 and was walking through my new neighborhood when your store caught my attention. I’ve always had a passion for fashion, so there was no way I could just walk past Hannibal.”

“Do you remember your very first piece from Hannibal.?”
“Absolutely - very clearly, actually. It was the Hoger trousers, which unfortunately are no longer part of the collection, together with a matching shirt featuring a cutaway stand collar. I still love wearing that outfit today.”

We actually captured Patrick’s very first purchase on our social media back then. Who would have thought that five years later, we’d be sharing a story together.
