Over the past few weeks, we have brought this belief to life through a series of events at Freudenberg Performance Materials sites worldwide, all of which were inspired by this year’s International Women’s Day theme: Give to Gain.

The idea was simple yet powerful: creating space for colleagues to step away from their daily routines, come together, reflect, and celebrate the people around them who make a difference every day.

Ahead of the events, employees at participating locations were invited to nominate colleagues who truly embody the Give to Gain spirit – those who support others, share knowledge, mentor, collaborate across teams, and champion women’s empowerment in the workplace.

These recognitions celebrated women and allies, who lead by example, create opportunities, advocate for others, and often make meaningful impacts behind the scenes without seeking the spotlight.

Across our sites worldwide, the celebrations created inspiring and uplifting moments. Women’s network gatherings and interactive activities provided opportunities to exchange experiences, recognize supportive leaders, and openly discuss challenges and opportunities for change, including encouraging more women to pursue technical careers.

Whether over breakfast, coffee, tea, snacks, or even during a creative workshop, colleagues came together in a relaxed atmosphere to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the power of community.
