Nature witch & giant's strength (creative writing and art therapy) weekend course in Faroe Islands!

June 7- 9, Gabrielė Labanauskaitė and Vivian Sjóðklett is going to lead a course with creative writing processes and art therapeutical painting, working through movement, dance, writing and painting.

Those last few months have brought me plenty of possibilities to share my passion with students... I really love teaching workshops- not only the eco-printing part but also exploring the various topics that the craft and plant knowledges carry.

🧦With Sustainable fashion and design students we discussed sustainable textile practices and how to use eco-pronting for upcycling

🌿 With Postcolonial Europe students we explored how colonialism was tied to land exploitation, extractivist plant naming and disawoval of local knowledges

🎨 With Art students we approached eco- printing as a creative endeavor that will be developed in another piece of art further in the class

🏕 With Green living community we brainstormed ways to re-use food waste for natural dyeing and eco-printing

Today was my last workshop of the year! Thank you all for great co- creation!

Throwback to summer!

Last couple of days I had a difficult task to select only a few photos from the Creative Summer camp that I organised in July.

Thank so much for all the beautiful people who travelled from different corners in Europe to co-create this event. It was you who made it possible!

We had amazing weather and variety of workshops: music and dance, jewellery making from recycled materials, eco-printing and natural dyeing, solid shampoo making and soap stone carving. Thanks for everyone who contributed with the workshops and great meals that we cooked together :)

Hope this was an inspiration to gather this way more often, to connect with each other by cultivating our relationship with nature. To slow down and find joy in simplicity.

A couple of weeks ago I made a small workshop for my colleagues in Copenhagen. A lovely afternoon learning some basics of eco printing and natural dyes. Afterwards I heard people reflect that it made them feel relaxed and inspired to be more creative.

What to learn about eco- printing and natural dyes? Together with .studio we are organising a summer camp in Lithuania from the 20th to 23th of July, where we will offer workshops to each other. For more info check the older posts!

Have a passion you want to share with others? Or learn together with nature and community lovers?

Živilė- .studio and I are organising a creative summer camp where we are going to offer workshops to each other in my family's countryside home in Lithuania. The idea is to open a space where we can gather together and share talents and hobbies with each other. We would do handicrafts, collect some plants, make natural cosmetics, do some plant distillation, do yoga, etc (anything one wants to contribute with), make some food and enjoy the time together. The program will be put together once we know who is coming. 

I will be offering a workshop on natural dyes and eco printing on fabrics.

The location is a countryside summer house in Kražiai, where we can camp and use the sauna, there is a shower and cooking facilities. In the area there is a little forest and a small lake.
The camp will take place from 20th to 23rd of July.

Who is with us? We will be happy to see you!
