Visible mending with the FRAMA team

An afternoon of quiet stitches, thoughtful repair, and shared presence

We explored Sashiko, Boro and other repair techniques, as the act of care, not just for textiles, but for time-worn things we hold close

Thank you for slowing down with me

Special thanks to Paulina for organising and holding space for this special event.

Working with .dk has been an incredible experience, filled with creativity, connection, and cultural pride 💙💛

Through art and craft workshops, I have the joy of introducing children and adults to the beauty of Ukrainian culture. Using textile crafts and fine art techniques, participants immerse themselves in our rich heritage. It’s been such a rewarding collaboration with curator Katya Stukalova and fellow artist Olha-Anna Kapustiak

From workshops to cultural events, .dk has become a vibrant hub where traditions are celebrated, stories are shared, and hearts are united. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful initiative, bringing a piece of Ukraine to Denmark and building bridges through culture and art

Keep an eye on The Ukraine House in Denmark announcements for more meaningful and enriching events in 2025

Feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to complete my first large-scale art project in felted wool. This residency also allowed me to dive into new experiments and organize a growing library of fibers. Huge thanks to for providing the space and support to bring this vision to life, and to for generously supporting the Quaternary project

Arch

This suspended sculpture, made from Danish Gotlander wool using the wet felting method, offers a meditation on materiality and form. Defying the typical associations of felt with warmth, its minimal geometry and floating design create a weightless appearance while retaining the tactile richness

The hollow interior and textured surface hint at interaction, contrasting softness with structure. The play of light and shadow on the wool enhances its calming presence, inviting reflection on how natural fibers can transform spatial design, offering sensory richness and material connection

The project is supported by Statens Kunstfond

Folds

This large-scale work combines Marsk wool and pleating to explore how soft, pliable materials can enhance architectural spaces, focusing on sensory engagement, warmth, and human connection. The rhythmic pleats evoke natural elements, revealing the flexibility and structural potential of wool. The piece blurs boundaries between textile and structure, operating in a liminal space between art, craft, and design. By proposing softness as a central design principle, it challenges the notion of cold architectural surfaces, offering an intimate, human-centered approach to space.

The Dome Coats, designed and created in 2018, embody a reflection on universal human experiences and generations of my family’s suffering, stemming from soviet russia’s impact: the displacement to Siberia and the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster.

Within the exhibition’s setting, the Dome Coats were presented as wearable homes, offering solace and comfort amidst the trauma of displacement.

Thankful for the chance to contribute to this impactful event held at the cultural center, .dk with the invaluable assistance of the brilliant curator

As the second year of a full-scale invasion in Ukraine draws to a close, I urge continued support for the Ukrainian struggle against russian brutality.
