f production:
Handmade: These items are handmade in Copenhagen in limited editions with a lot of love. Hand-dyed /handprinted: These items are made in EU and hand-dyed or printed in Copenhagen. Factory made: Very few items are produced abroad in order to lower the price. Purpose of producing locally
We want to show and tell about a forgotten artform that has been hidden away in giant factories far away from Denmark. We want to challenge the expectations of two seasonal collections with cheap mass-produced items. We want to show that apparel production takes a great deal of finesse and patience and therefore is time consuming. By producing locally, we can produce more accurately and thereby secure high quality and a long lifetime of the product. All items from Dirk Idyl are made to order in limited quantities.
