A few weeks ago, we visited our production in Tuscany, where our handknitting community of local women are currently in full production for the AW26 collection.

Every DAWNxDARE knit is made entirely by hand. From the knitting itself to the final linked assembly, each piece passes through skilled hands using techniques that have been refined over generations. It is a process that takes time, patience, and remarkable craftsmanship.

Many of the women we work with have been part of this production community for years, alongside mothers, daughters, and grandmothers. There is a strong sense of tradition, pride, and togetherness behind every piece they create.

For us, it is very special to work with such talented women and to have them as part of the DAWNxDARE community. Visiting them is always a reminder of how much care, time, and handwork lies behind every knit.

We hope this gives you a small insight into the craftsmanship behind our collections and the people who bring them to life. Buying our unique handknits support the local communities in remote mountain villages in the Tuscan hills.
