✨Today I’m celebrating my 50th birthday✨ — and I just want to share how deeply grateful I feel.
When everything in my life felt safe and secure, I decided to take a leap — I became an expat, and later, an entrepreneur — embracing all the uncertainty that comes with both.
But in that journey, I discovered a powerful purpose here in my new home, Denmark: to share the beauty of my country, my culture, and my roots — to show a Colombia that not everyone knows about 🇨🇴
That purpose became JUYA, and it has been an incredible adventure. Many of you now have a hand-crocheted bag at home, made with love in Colombia by our Master Wayuu artisans — and that means the world to me.
Thank you for your support and for joining me on this amazing (and sometimes crazy!) journey of being an entrepreneur at 50.

✨JUYA STORIES✨Last week a lovely customer came into our POP-UP and told me how she found us: while she was out running, she spotted another woman with a JUYA bag. They chatted on the street and she learned about our project. She loves knitting and crocheting so she came by and chose a beautiful black and white bag with original Wayuu patterns.🤍🖤

Silleknotte is a creative studio where every item is cut, stitch and finished by hand and we are so grateful to be part of this handmade community.
