After a summer filled with beautiful places, new impressions and little discoveries, I am slowly finding my way back to the drawing board and the sewing table.

This summer, I have been lucky enough to combine time with my family with my endless curiosity for textiles – searching through markets and small shops, discovering forgotten treasures, and meeting talented agents and small weaving mills along the way.

I love the journey of finding the right fabric. The texture, the weight, the colour, the story behind it – and that feeling when you come across something that feels unmistakably La Fauvette.

Some of these new connections may lead to beautiful fabrics for future collections, and I am excited to see where they take me.

For now, I am looking forward to returning to the quiet rhythm of sketching, choosing fabrics and sewing – and to continuing to let La Fauvette grow, one piece at a time. Warmly Thereza

A Redstart Top made of vintage linen bought in Lisbon in the fall. Every square centimeter is used for the top and bias tapes. The feeling and texture are so rare and almost no longer made in that quality. And a deadstock Sitta Skirt in the most beautiful linen and silk blend.

Redstart Top - The Redstart is an active, lively flycatcher, known for its distinctive, nervous tail-flicking. It thrives best in mature gardens with old trees, which is why I am fortunate to enjoy its visits at my garden. The top features a simple round neckline at the front and a full button placket down the back. One version is made in broderie anglaise, with deadstock summer wool on the button placket and 🤍-shaped mother-of-pearl buttons, while the other is made in Portuguese linen with vintage marble buttons

Colibri Silk Scarf - The Colibri is the world’s smallest bird and therefore incredibly lightweight. It has amazing abilities in the air and can be found in a sea of beautiful colors. The scarf measures 90 × 90 cm and is made of mulberry silk. I create the colors and prints myself in my home laboratory. Available on website

Finch Quilted vest made exclusively from Liberty fabric. The outer fabric features a Japanese-designed pattern, while the lining is a more classic floral. The pockets, collar, binding, and loops are made from leftover Liberty fabric, and the buttons are vintage mother-of-pearl.
The middle layer is made from lovely Danish wool from sheep that live good lives in West Zealand.
I make these vests to order, where you choose the composition as well as the fit and size. Soon, more styles will also be available in my webshop as ready-to-buy pieces

The Starling workwear jacket - made in deadstock furniture fabric partly velvet and wool/linen. The jacket is named after the Starling, who is known for it’s formations called ‘Sort Sol’ - beautiful in companionship with others. It has an amazing plumage with the prettiest details in a close look. Size medium
