A designer’s hardest dress to create is often her own.
Because when you’re designing for yourself, you want it to feel different — but not extravagant. Simple — but never ordinary. Something that doesn’t need to be loud to make a statement.
This dress took me much longer than it may seem. From the first idea and endless details in my head, to figuring out how to actually bring it to life.
The most challenging part was creating the sculptural floral effect at the bottom — every fold, every curve, every piece of organza was shaped and assembled by hand, one by one.
So much time, patience, trial and error went into making something that, in the end, was meant to look almost effortless.
And maybe that’s my favorite kind of design:
when simplicity is actually the hardest part. 🤍
