On our way from Luxor to Aswan we stopped at Edfu temple. This is one of the best presrved temple in Egpyt. It was buried under centuries of sand and silt untill it was discovered in the 19th century. The temple dedicated to the falcon God Horus, showcases stunning hieroglyphs and intricate carvings. ..

Our cruise was scheduled to set sail at 2pm on the sexond day, but we made the most of the morning. Visiting the Valley of kings was surreal - walking through tombs where pharoahs once rested felt like stepping into another world. The mortuary temple of Ramasses III in Medinet Habu was the biggest surprise during this trip! It is incredibly well preserved. On our way back we made a quick stop at the Colossi of Memmon - massive weathered statues watching over the desert. .

Reached Luxor early in the morning. Checked into our Nile cruise and spent the day exploring the magnigicient Luxor temple and temple of Karnak.
Karnak is one of the worlds largest ancient temple complex built more than 3700 years ago. You enter under a long row of stone sphinex, then step into the Hypostyle hall which is a vast room filled with 134 columns. Everywhere you look the wall is covered in carvings and hieroglyphs.

Had gone to Egypt a few days back. Started our first day by exploring Cairo Citadel which is a historic fortress. The mosque of Mohammed Ali inside is beautiful and one can see a panoramic view of Cairo from here including the great pyramids at a distance. Found the war musuem inside very fascinating.It showcased everything from ancients weapons to modern ones. Had lunch in a quaint cafe within the premises. Caught a sleeper train in night to Luxor.
