A pious man once said that "you must not mention people's foibles with your tongue, because as well, people have tongues and you are full of foibles"
The fat girl you are mocking, might be trying to lose weight for too long but her genes or a disease she has, is not helping.
The guy who seems 'girly' in attitude , was born that way, but has a heart of a brave soldier.
The girl or the guy you called too skinny, they may be hating what they see in the mirror, and every morning they wake up with a mindset of embracing life and feel comfortable in their own skin, but they have to confront people's daily critics.
The teacher you called 'insane' , 'too old' or 'rude', perhaps was forced to work to earn a living for his/her children, or is trying to benefit you in the remaining years of life, to feel valued.
The girl you made fun of her hair, might have been recently recovered from Cancer or heavy chemicals.
The girl who seemed breathless when you all ran together and you made fun of her 'non fitness', was once an Athletic Champion, but was injured and it's lasting.
Give people excuses, know quite well that we all have our backgrounds, you don't know what the person in front of you is dealing with daily, or faced in the past, or fears to come...
Do not be a pressure on their shoulders, life is quite a load already.
Mind your own business, work on yourself and remember "...as well, people have tongues and you are full of foibles..."
Let's lift one another up, smile, show support and encouragement, and if we can't,(but we certainly can), then the least we can do is, say something good or stay quiet.
to myself and to you
