Our Couture Draping Intensive Diploma is designed to teach the complete construction process behind bridal and eveningwear, with a strong focus on corsetry, internal structure and couture finishing techniques.
During the 80-hour intensive program, you will work on:
• Draping directly on the mannequin
• Couture corsetry and structured bodices
• Bust and waist shaping
• Boning and internal support systems
• Tulle and transparent foundations
• Bridal and evening gown construction
• Lace placement and appliqué
• Hand-finishing techniques
• Clean couture closures
• Invisible internal construction
• Fit, balance and volume control
You will discover the construction and finishing principles associated with the standards of leading European couture ateliers and fashion houses such as Valentino and Dior — where the inside of the garment is treated with the same attention as the outside.
Because couture is not simply about making a dress look extraordinary.
It is about knowing how to build it.
From the corset underneath to the final hand-sewn detail, every layer has a function, every technique has a reason, and every finish contributes to the final result.
