As of June 1, 2024, Moroccan pharmacies have begun selling legal 🍃-based supplements and cosmetics 🌿.

This milestone followed government authorization for 🍃 cultivation and processing, paving the way for innovative health and wellness solutions 💚.

The first products included nine supplements and ten cosmetics, all registered with the Directorate of Medicines and Pharmacy (DMP) 🏥. Supported by the Confederation of Moroccan Pharmacists’ Unions (CSPM), these are now available nationwide 🛒.

Regulatory advancements, including law 13-21, allowed direct consumer sales under strict legal requirements. During a meeting at ANRAC, chaired by governor Mohammed El Guerrouj, 🍃 content regulations were set. Products with 🍃 levels under 1% are designated for cosmetics and supplements, ensuring safe and legal options 🌱. Led by the Adbib Agricultural Cooperative, this move signaled a new era for Moroccan wellness 🌟, combining tradition with modern health innovations and positioning Morocco as a global 🍃 leader 🌍.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially signed the 🍃 for Private Purposes Act (CfPPA) into law, just in time for the national elections! 🇿🇦

This landmark reform has been in the works since a 2018 Constitutional Court ruling, and now it’s finally here! The CfPPA will remove 🍃 from the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, paving the way for significant regulatory changes and economic growth in South Africa’s 🍃 sector. 🌱💚

🌿 Big news in the world of 🍃! 🌿 For the first time, the number of daily 🍃 users in the US has surpassed daily alcohol drinkers! 🚀 A study published in the journal Addiction found that in 2022, 17.7 million Americans reported using 🍃 daily or nearly daily, compared to 14.7 million daily alcohol drinkers. 📈

This shift reflects a major cultural change over the past few decades. Back in 1992, less than a million people used 🍃 daily. Dr. Brooke Worster, chief medical officer at EO Care, explains that this increase is partly due to the decreasing stigma around 🍃 use. “Taking away the taboo” has led to more people openly admitting their usage, revealing the true extent of the trend. 🌱✨

While alcohol still remains the more widely used substance overall, the rapid rise in daily 🍃 use marks a significant shift in how people are choosing to relax and manage their wellbeing.

The government’s landmark move to liberalize 🍃 laws has passed its final hurdle in parliament. 🎉 Starting April 1, possession of limited amounts will be decriminalized, paving the way for personal freedom and responsible use. Come July 1, cannabis clubs will sprout up, allowing members to cultivate for personal use.
