My little idea to splash colour all over my stories. Because, let's face it, Mondays can need an injection of feel good.

This is especially true for me today... a combo of sickness (me) and children to entertain (public holiday). Living the dream!

I may be just selling some earrings but, more than that, I am selling a splash of feel good.

It’s about colour.
It’s about happiness.

This is the first blog post in the series 'A Colourful Read' where I get chance to talk to other women doing their amazing things; their project, their business, their venture, their life, and what colour and happiness means to them.

The Queen Bees are definitely a confidence boosting earring. So far they are my best seller. And so far this is my best selfie. Confidently leading the way in sales. And helping me more confidently take a selfie... sort of.

Honesty post.

It's haaaaard taking selfies... especially ones where the product is the heroine. There seems to be more visible wrinkles, skin blemishes on show, and double chins a plenty. This is the best of a bad bunch. May be some bronzer would have helped?! That and some more practice. But channelling , I have decided to .

The Colour Edit has be born out of my love for colour and the all good feelings that brings. I know that colour can’t solve every problem in the world but I do believe in trying to spread this little splash of happiness as far as we can.

So, for every pair of earrings sold we will donate 10% of that sale to a chosen charity where feeling good needs way more than just a bright pair of earrings. First up, Esperança.

Esperança is a homeless charity based in Barcelona where a team of volunteers go out twice a week to give food, clothing, and love to those who need it most. This 10% will equate to approximately a soup and sandwich. A small contribution that will make a big difference to someone to desperately needs it.

Buy a little splash of happiness for a friend (or for yourself) AND give someone more vulnerable something that will certainly make their day a little better.

The chosen charity will change. Do you know of or work with other Barcelona based charities that would benefit from our help? If so, let me know and may be we will hero them next round.

Introducing the next earring in my range. A little stud that is full of love. The Miamorcito.

These are inspired by the happiness of love and the people we love (miamorcito means my little love in Spanish). These little studs will fill your hearts with joy all day long. And I seem to live in them as they work so well with a casual sweatshirt but also dressed up.

Today I’m introducing my packaging. Okay, so it’s not going to make you happy in quite the same way as my earrings. But our beautiful planet is happy as a result… I promise. That’s because all the bits used to make your splash of happiness arrive in one piece are completely sustainable.

The gift boxes are created from recycled boxboard and are fully recyclable. A double whammy! And we haven’t printed on the box so you can also reuse or gift it.

Also, the envelopes used to send them are made from recycled materials, have a double-adhesive strip so you can reuse it, and is printed with water-based inks... making it 100% home compostable, and recyclable!

Even the stamp I use on this mailing envelope is made from over 65% post-consumer plastics; which gives plastic materials already in circulation, a second life.

So you won’t be buying a little splash of happiness just for you… it will be a little splash of happiness for our planet too.

Any Beyonce fans out there?

I’m not in her super fan squad… at all. But I was there at the Pyramid Stage, at Glastonbury, watching what quickly became the best gig of my life. She was incredible!

And it is this gig that was the inspiration behind the Queen Bee, mother of all, statement hoops. You’re sure to fall crazy in love with these show-stopping earrings. I am in love with them. They are my night out go to ear bling. And so far they are my best seller.

I’ve introduced the project (and me) so now it’s time to introduce the launch collection. Drum roll please!

First up is the Golden Eclipse. Like all the designs they come with their very own personality. Luckily not the kind of personality that answers you back, like my kids. But they do have a name and a little story.

The Golden Eclipse are inspired by the happiness of feeling the golden sun on your skin at sunset, yet designed to give you that sunny vibe all day long. Although, as the sun seems to have disappeared from our Barcelona skies the last few days, I definitely need to be wearing these today!

They come in matte gold with teal, rust, yellow or jean blue. What colour would you choose?

Let’s dangle and fill you in on this little venture of mine.

With a clue in the name, it’s about colour. And I love a bit of colour. A splash of colour with my blue jeans. A bit of red lippy. A yellow handbag. Or some colourful bling. Because let’s face it, colour has the power to make us feel good. Like the smell of fresh bed sheets kind of good. Or a much-needed cocktail with old friends kind of good. And I like that feeling. I want more of that feeling. Whip it that together and The Colour Edit was born. I am getting the ball rolling with earrings. But who knows where the colourful collection will go.

This feed will be pics of the bling. Stories of colour. Stories of happiness. And stories of how we will help those who can’t find such a quick fix to feeling happier.
