‘yes, we want it to look worn and unclean’ is smth we always end up telling our atelier when designing; which is somehow simple but hard enough to explain when the idea of quality has always been making everything look as new and perfect as possible. for our leather bags we didn’t want to work with pantone books; we needed the kind of brown you only get after years of life happening to it. so after weeks of samples that weren’t quite right, we dramatically decided to use actual old shoes and leather objects as reference. things that had that worn-in shade of leather that only exist because someone else wore them for thirty years.. and weirdly enough, that was it; now we have three colors that we love and many more pieces that are coming soon!!!! x
