Philissa Williams of Thembe Fashions is a self-taught clothing designer, personal shopper and stylist who has been designing for over 10 years. She started out by reconstructing her own clothing until other people began asking for her pieces. Inspired by patterns, shapes, colors, people, art and travel, she uses unexpected textures and patterns to accentuate the silhouette. Her designs are high casual everyday couture pieces that are versatile and work with many different styles.

Just letting everyone know, I am still here. I have been working on a new project, . For years I have wanted to open up a consignment shop. Shopping second hand in these shops was the way I updated my wardrobe. Or even made a little something on the side from selling some of my own unworn cherished items. I believe pre loved fashion is the best way to shop. Not only do you get to find unique pieces but help the community as well. The best piece of clothing is the one already made; it’s just waiting to be found. Please follow me in my new journey to make fashion accessible and bring to light that “pre-loved” is the only way to shop. But…… if you need a Thembe original, just drop me a DM. Yesterday was unforgettable. We had our 5th year for this amazing charity event. All the donations we collected through the year finally found new homes. We sold clothes. Had 4 fashion shows.. and one was of my designs. Brilliant performers and singers. Grand MC’s. A wellness room. A raffle giving away a sunset cruise. And much much more. We really did it this year and did it well. My colleagues and I thank everyone who was apart of this event. The volunteers especially for being the fierce selling team. Now that this one is done, time to start working on next year!!! Don’t miss out on this feel good shopping event…
