Laura Vela begins her life path in her hometown Zaragoza, from an early age she develops a cosmopolitan education taking her to Germany, United Kingdom and the United States, returning to Barcelona where she obtains a Bachelor Degree and Master in Business Administration at E.S.A.D.E., her interest in fas

hion increases, leading her to enrol in the prestigious fashion school, Parsons in New York. During her freshman’s year in the Big Apple and overcoming a competitive selection, Laura Vela debuts in February 2011 at MERCEDES BENZ FASHION NYC, Lincoln Center, where her collection; classic lines with a combination of materials and contemporary colours, attracts the attention of the fashion press and celebrities of the global fashion system, placing her at the hub of media attention and consolidating her fashion project. Currently the young Spanish designer is based in New York where she has created her own fashion label, LAURA VELA, which markets a line of affordable luxury handbags for women who appreciate quality materials and sophisticated designs. The tasteful handbags are manufactured in Argentina and Colombia, cattle and sheep hides, ostrich engravings, animal prints, colourful fabrics and fun accessories. Today LAURA VELA’s Collection of handbags is available in leading multi-brand boutiques in USA, Canada, Japan and Spain and major online boutiques. The innovative and original designs by LAURA VELA and the natural media gravitas of the designer attracts many celebrities, seducing editors and stylists of major fashion magazines who follow with great interest the fashion proposals of the young and dynamic entrepreneur who faces the future with the glow of success envisioned at an early stage and forged with resolute work, with only 25 years undoubtedly her future screens with promise.
