Today is International Women’s Day…I chose this day, 7 years ago, to launch INDOI.

INDOI was created in the name of the people of the Indus region but more personally, it was created in honour of the women who came before me. The women who preserved craft in their every day rituals ...quietly, without applause.
The women who carried stories in thread, in fabric, in resilience. Women of great strength that we see all around the world today.

Today, I want to celebrate you - the women in this community who choose consciously, who support independent craft, who believe in doing things differently.
