Hoy celebramos Asturias.
Una tierra de montañas, de mar, de esfuerzo y de carácter. Una tierra con una historia que forma parte, desde sus mismos orígenes, de la historia de España.
Covadonga es mucho más que un lugar. Es memoria, tradición y uno de esos escenarios donde la historia de nuestra tierra se entrelaza con la historia de nuestra nación.
Desde sus montañas hasta sus pueblos, desde sus tradiciones hasta su manera de entender la vida, Asturias es España, y su historia también es parte de la nuestra.
Hoy, Lagartijo se planta en la montaña para celebrarlo como se merece: con la Cruz de la Victoria al viento y con orgullo por una tierra que ha sabido conservar su identidad a través de los siglos.
Porque celebrar nuestra historia no significa olvidar sus luces y sus sombras.
Significa conocerla, respetarla y sentirla como parte de lo que somos.

Today we celebrate Asturias.
A land of mountains, sea, hard work and character. A land whose history has been part, from its very origins, of the history of Spain.
Covadonga is much more than a place. It is memory, tradition, and one of those settings where the history of our land became intertwined with the history of our nation.
From its mountains to its villages, from its traditions to its way of understanding life, Asturias is Spain, and its history is part of ours too.
Today, Lagartijo stands proudly in the mountains to celebrate it as it deserves: with the Cross of Victory flying in the wind, and with pride in a land that has preserved its identity throughout the centuries.
Because celebrating our history does not mean forgetting its strengths and its shadows.
It means knowing it, respecting it, and feeling it as part of who we are.
