This month is also pride month, and one of the most important people behind the fight for justice for all members of the L.G.B.T.Q community where Marsha P.Johnson . She was a woman of colour who fought for our right to love. As a member of this community I, together with all of you, have to stand up against racism. We all have to stand up for each other, distancing ourself from political injustice just because it doesn’t directly touch us is wrong. Is almost just as wrong as encouraging it.
This month is pride month. And it’s also the time where we should stand up for the ones who are hurting right now. As we speak.
Because the right to love is equal to the right to live. The right to be treated with respect. The right to be heard. And the right to not be scared, treated differently, threatened, or persecuted because of the colour of our skin.
