MAKERS — Part 2

Material exploration continues.

In collaboration with Aritz Antolín , Paula Franco .studioss and Airí Ferrer , we keep developing biomaterials using natural elements such as algae, hibiscus, spirulina, agar-agar and orange peel collected along the Basque coast. New surfaces emerge from the organic and are directly integrated into the collection.

These materials have been used to create handmade bustiers and special garments, as well as a jacket developed from coffee and flowers, applied onto pieces to bring volume and depth.

We also collaborate with Martina Spetlova , with whom we have been working for our ready-to-wear collection. Her practice, at the intersection of craftsmanship and contemporary design, transforms handwoven leather into new constructions where interlacing becomes its own language.

MAKERS — Part 1

A shared idea of connection runs through every step of the creative process — shaped together with designers, artists and researchers who explore different ways of understanding material and making.

From Cocotte Santander Marian reinterprets the traditional Bilbao Burukoak — bringing these historical hats into contemporary volumes. Inspired by medieval forms, their silhouettes echo naturally with our logo. Her knowledge of art is reflected in each of her creations, which, approached as small sculptures, carry a conceptual intention at their core.

Proyecto HEMEN approaches ceramics from an experimental lens, shaping objects that sit between sculpture and function — chokers, bags, pieces that challenge categories. Imperfection is not hidden, but preserved, keeping the organic nature of the material present in every work.

musician, painter and graffiti artist, brings raw energy and graphics to the collection. Through his print, reminds us that art is a bridge between worlds.

A parade of painting, of fashion
PAINTING PLAYS NATURE
Fashion plays clothing
If painting dares to speak of still life,
We will oppose it with a parade of living nature.

From Jacques Bernar to Maia Curutchet .curutchet

This piece brings together fabrics from the collection and biomaterials, all hand-sewn into a single piece that feels in constant transformation, leaving threads loose and open. These gestures introduce a certain unpredictability, where the material is not fully controlled but allowed to respond, creating volumes and irregularities that remain visible.

This way of making connects to a broader reflection within the collection: if art historically helped us represent and understand the world, today it is often images that shape how we perceive it. In a context saturated with visual stimuli, there is a growing distance from what feels tangible and real.
