💜For purple lovers, like me💜 I get the purple shades from the logwood, which is a tree called "Haematoxylum campechianum" native to southern Mexico and northern Central America.

It contains the coloring substance hematoxylin, and depending on the pH, a more blue or purple color can be obtained. It is a great dyeing material and one of my favorites✨️

💜Para amantes del violeta, como yo💜 El violeta lo obtengo del palo Campeche, que es un árbol llamado "Haematoxylum campechianum" nativo del sur de Mexico y del norte de Centro América.

Contiene la sustancia colorante hematoxilina, y dependiendo del ph se puede obtener un color más azul o violeta. Es una materia tintórea genial y una de mis preferidas✨️

"Rolls" of cotton and linen, natural dyed with the bundle dyeing technique. A technique that has me captivated both by the beauty of its unique results and by the charm of the process itself.

⏳With this technique I have learned that everything takes time, that you have to respect it... And I do it enjoying it as part of the process that it is, because it is that waiting time to open the "rolls" that makes the process more exciting.

💕Also, don't tell me that these unopened "rolls" aren't pretty... I can spend a long time looking at them and trying to guess how they will turn out...

Rollitos" de lino y algodón, teñidos de forma natural y con la técnica de teñido por contacto. Técnica que me tiene cautivada tanto por la belleza de sus resultados únicos como por el encanto del proceso en sí.
⏳Con esta técnica he aprendido que todo necesita su tiempo, que hay que respetarlo... Y yo lo hago disfrutándolo como parte del proceso que es, porque es ese tiempo de espera para abrir los "rollitos" el que hace más emocionante el proceso de teñido.
💕Además, no me digáis que no son bonitos estos "rollitos" aún sin abrir... Me podría quedar un buen tiempo observándolos e intentando adivinar cómo habrán quedado...

Raíces de rubia= rojo
Flores de manzanilla + semillas de achiote= amarillo
Espino cerval= detalles dorados

✨️He creado este fular de seda usando solo 2 plantas. Los detalles violeta provienen del Palo Campeche y el color salmón de las raíces de la planta llamada Rubia tinctoria.

ENG below 🌱Colores sostenibles obtenidos de plantas🌱 Teñir esta pashmina de lana merino es un proceso lento, que necesita 3 días.

1. Lavar y pre-mordentar el fular, para que los pigmentos queden fijados correctamente al tejido.

2. Teñido: este fular lleva dos baños de tinte. Uno morado, obtenido del palo campeche, y otro amarillo claro, obtenido de las semillas de achiote. Cada mitad del fular está teñida de un color, para crear el diseño asimétrico.

3. Después, he creado el estampado. Los detalles rojos son de las raíces de la planta llamada rubia, los violeta son del palo campeche, y los de color ochre, son de pétalos de tagetes de mi jardín.

✨️Después de este proceso mágico, podemos disfrutar de los colores de la naruraleza y conservar un poco de ella en un accesorio único! ¿No es increíble? 💚🌼🌿

🌱Sustainable colors obtained from plants🌱 Dyeing this merino wool pashmina is a slow process, which takes 3 days.

1. Wash and mordanting the scarf, to ensure that the pigments are correctly fixed to the fabric.

2. Dyeing: this scarf has two dye baths. One purple, obtained from logwood, and another light yellow, obtained from annatto seeds. Each half of the scarf is dyed in a different colour, to create the asymmetrical design.

3. Next, I have created the pattern. The red details are from the madder roots plant, the violet ones are from logwood, and the ochre-colored ones are from marigold petals from my garden.

✨️After this magical process, we can enjoy the colors of nature and keep a little of it in a unique accessory! Isn't it amazing? 💚🌼🌿
