Taking a leap of faith, holding our breath, plunging into unchartered waters...
This image, taken by is a beautiful representation of the feelings swirling around at La Bom lately.

This global supply chain crisis has been reeking havoc on our production plans, we were finding solutions to price increases and fabric delays but when our factory called last week with news that they couldn't produce for us until the end of July, well that stopped us in our tracks. 😥
Hearts were heavy and sleep was scarce.

But just when you think all the doors have closed and you can't see the way out, a window opens.

What was in one moment a complete disaster has turned into a really exciting development. We have just found a small atelier in Mallorca, our home Island. It was always the dream to produce here but we thought it impossible. It is early days and we will be making samples in the next few weeks but we are hopeful that this move will be a positive one. Not only can we reduce our carbon footprint whilst supporting a small local business, but we have the option for very small runs of product ensuring no waste or dead stock.
Win win!

Golden nugget that one 👌🏼
It can be done discreetly when the water is busy as my friend reminded me on our swim back in August. The beach was rammed and we cruised the shallows all bare down there under the surface and it felt just MARVELOUS! ✨

FYI putting your bottoms on your head can attract snorkels.

Does anyone else do this or are we just a bit weird? 😅

FUN times in the garden today. So much beauty right here on our doorstep, we got playful with nature and are L.O.V.I.N.G the results 🍃👌🏼.

It was always a toss up between becoming a swimwear designer and a gardener...... maybe the two loves can collide after all. 💭

Little side note: Did you know these yellow buttercups are edible? My friends daughter Sage from Cape Town showed me, she calls them sour sops. You suck the stalks and they make your cheeks hurt but are weirdly refreshing. 🍭☘
