➡️Bajo el enorme desplome de Malham Cove, Jack Ibbertson se mueve sobre una de las líneas más icónicas de la escalada británica: Rainshadow (9a)
📍La vía, situada en el corazón del anfiteatro de caliza de Malham, fue equipada originalmente por Mark Leach y liberada por Steve McClure el 18 de junio de 2003 tras 22 sesiones de trabajo. Concebida como la extensión natural de la clásica Raindogs (8a), Rainshadow se convirtió rápidamente en un testpiece histórico del Reino Unido y en una referencia absoluta de la resistencia sobre desplome
📆A lo largo de los años, la ruta ha sido repetida por algunos de los mejores escaladores del mundo. Entre ellos, Josh Ibbertson, el hermano mayor de Jack, que encadenó la vía en diciembre de 2020 con solo 16 años, firmando una de las ascensiones juveniles más destacadas de la escena británica
✅Ahora es Jack Ibbertson quien continúa el legado familiar sobre esta línea legendaria, equipado con los nuevos Boreal Mutant 3.0 LV. Jack lleva años consolidándose como uno de los talentos más prometedores de la nueva generación británica: ya con 9 años encadenó Raindogs (8a) en Malham y desde entonces no ha dejado de evolucionar en algunas de las escuelas más duras de Europa

📍 The route, set in the heart of Malham’s limestone amphitheatre, was originally bolted by Mark Leach and freed by Steve McClure on 18 June 2003 after 22 working sessions. Conceived as the natural extension of the classic Raindogs (8a), Rainshadow quickly became a landmark British testpiece and an absolute benchmark for endurance climbing on overhanging rock
📆 Over the years, the route has been repeated by some of the world’s best climbers. Among them, Josh Ibbertson, Jack’s older brother, who sent the route in December 2020 at just 16 years old — one of the most remarkable youth ascents on the British scene
