Update on the angry opticians to you lovely followers!

They have now moved online and are expressing their anger towards our high quality and low prices electronically. One optician realized at 11.26pm during the first of May celebrations that he needed a pair from us as his own glasses are probably not reaching the same quality as Magyia. However, we needed to cancel the order as he ordered cheapest and thinnest frames with highest possible prescription values such as +10 power with + 4-cylinder value without thinning the lenses. We understand the need for high quality glasses so please do come back to us with your prescription and we will finally give you the glasses you deserve! Also let us teach you how to select the right lenses for your next order; at Magyia we are always ready to help our customers!

The other one to mention was a nice and bitter email how opticians need to make profit too. And we absolutely agree! Every company needs to make a profit to keep the company alive, we are not opposing that. We are simply providing customers the opportunity to pay the right prices as that is what they want to and deserve to do! At Magyia we only focus on making our customers happy while keeping our staff happy and healthy too so we can serve you better. Perhaps if opticians focused on serving their customers, they wouldn’t be losing SO many to us. Also, funny to see that they tell us they want to keep making profit but want to prohibit us from making profits… Go figure!

Clearly the game is on, and we are here to deliver!

How do we know we do the right thing? Because the people overcharging you are angry at us and come call us names and yell at us at the pop up. Here are some funny snippets from the first 2 weeks;

"How can you rent a space close to us especially as they are so much cheaper than us?"

"As an optician I will never support brands who by directly from the factory!!" So my dear angry optician, you rather support 3-5 middle men at the expense of the customer? Understood!

"You are nothing, you cannot do progressive lenses (most sold lenses at Magyia), you don't customize anything (every lens is customized), you are just bad brand to offer customers such a low price!"

"You are Lada, you are bad quality and you cannot really produce progressive lenses" said an angry optician while she angrily studied our products for 10 minutes and having never seen or tried our lenses.

The angrier they get, the more opticians that lose their cool, the more it tells us that they are scared because they know that time has come for people to pay the real price and milking customers for 800 euros for a 100 euro product is now over.

So my dear opticians, good luck with your business, competition is here and better keep up with the market! I'll see you in the battle field!

What an amazing opportunity to meet our lovely customers and hear their experiences with overpriced glasses they have bought before. It is truly eye opening to hear people pay 800 euros and more for one pair of progressive glasses whereas you get them with us with around 100 euros.

It's been amazing to see how people's eyes are opened when they understand how we can be so affordable and still offer the same quality as in any other optical shop. We're truly grateful that people can see our products, learn about us and how we do business and just get to hear all the amazing suggestions our customers have for us and the future.

And as a cherry on top, it's been fun to see opticians getting angry at us because our prices are too low (they are afraid because they know they will lose business so let's also have empathy for them) and already an official complaint has been made by a big swedish optician chain that we should not be allowed to be here because they don't like competitors.

Thank you all for the first amazing 2 weeks and can't wait to see you in Lippulaiva, Mall of Tripla and Koskikeskus!
