While I was still in Nigeria, I received the news that I’ve been selected as one of the Top 10 nominees in the Entrepreneurship category for the International Working Women of Finland (IWWOF) Awards 2026.

I literally screamed when I saw the email. Not because I don’t believe in the work I do, but because among the many incredible women entrepreneurs in Finland, this recognition is truly humbling.

To whoever nominated me and to the IWWOF board and judges who did the shortlisting iso kiitos 🤍

Happy International Women’s Day to all the phenomenal women building, leading, and creating.

OLEKU, but make it sisterhood.
Born in mid-century Yorubaland, Oleku was the silhouette of educated women redefining elegance in their era. A shorter bùbá (blouse). A sculpted ìró (wrapper). A presence that carried quiet confidence.

This Valentine’s Day in Finland, where love is celebrated as friendship, we honour that same spirit, women standing beside women. 🤍

For Olori X F’Joy, we reinterpreted this iconic form through cultural dialogue.

Akwete: handwoven heritage from Akwete for the gele (headwrap) and wrapper.
Plain Asooke for the bùbá (blouse): structured, refined, intentional.

Because friendship is love. And tradition lives beautifully when women carry it forward together.
