A lot of production has moved elsewhere over the years — mainly to reduce manufacturing costs.
Ours hasn’t.
Not because it couldn’t — but because our products depend on experience. Knowing how the material behaves. Knowing how the product should feel when it’s used. Producing elsewhere would be cheaper. But that’s not what we’re aiming for.
This is what you’re actually getting for that price.
Our products are made in Finland, in our own factory — not ordered ready-made from a warehouse 😅 They are made from 100% sheep wool, a material that isn’t the easiest to work with.
It has taken decades to refine how we work with it — the material itself, the shapes, the fit, the details that make the product actually work in use. The process is still labour-intensive. There are many stages, and a large part of the work is still done by hand, with machines assisting where needed.
You could say the way we look at things has changed over the years. We’ve gotten used to things being fast and affordable — and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But when it comes to something like this — made in Finland, based on a rare kind of skill and experience — it’s not really something you can compare in the same way.
Maybe it’s not about whether something is expensive or not.
But what you’re actually getting for that price.
