A customer came to me with this beautiful cotton fabric with African-inspired prints, but she wasn’t quite sure yet what she wanted to make from it. In the end, we decided on a gathered midi skirt, perfect for letting the fabric speak for itself.

The skirt features side pockets, a hidden zipper, and button closure at the back. The wide waistband helps give structure while keeping the soft gathered silhouette.

A customer asked if it was possible to recreate her favorite vest dress using a small piece of Marimekko fabric as the main material. The challenge? The original dress was made from stretchy fabric, while the Marimekko fabric had no stretch at all 😵

To make it work, I adjusted the pattern with a bit more ease, added a slit for a zipper, and first sewed a prototype in another woven fabric to test the fit before cutting into the final material.

Of course, projects like this don’t always go perfectly smoothly...😅 When working with limited fabric, print matching can sometimes be difficult — or simply impossible — especially on details like the front pockets. Luckily, the print itself was quite organic and patchy, and the customer actually liked the little contrasts here and there 🤝🏻

In the end, the dress turned out beautifully and completely one of a kind 💠👗

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on this custom-made jumpsuit 🪡

The customer wanted a timeless piece for formal summer occasions such as graduations and weddings, so she chose a satin fabric in a deep petrol shade. 👖🪨

She asked for a V neckline, side pockets, an open back with a hidden zipper for easier dressing, and a matching belt. Darts were also added to the sleeves and waist to create a softer shape and a touch of volume.

Unlike many jumpsuits with very wide legs, the goal with this design was to keep the trousers slightly slimmer in order to create a more elegant and elongated silhouette while still feeling comfortable to wear 🦢

This custom-made triko tunic was created for everyday wear and is essentially a longer version of a triko shirt, comfortable and effortless to wear 🏃🏻‍♀️👕

The customer wished for a deeper V neckline, 3/4 sleeves, bust darts and a length just below the knee — small choices that make the piece truly hers.

She seemed very satisfied with the results so another variation of this tunic is already on the making 🤫☺️

Lately I’ve been busy with this “little” project.

A customer asked if I could make a hoodie for her granddaughter who lives abroad. The print was a bit tricky to work with, but once assembled, it turned out nicely.

We went with green accents since it’s her favorite color, and it matches perfectly with the jungle theme 🌿🐅🦜

And of course, since grandma misses her, she asked for a small surprise on the inside of the hoodie: a couple of bunnies, her name, and a Finnish flag.

We think she’s going to be the coolest girl in town 👧🏼😎🌺

Whenever someone comes over, I always ask them to take their shoes off.
One day a customer told me it was too cold on his feet… and honestly, he was right ❄️
So during the holidays I made a few simple slippers from materials I already had at home — leftover felt, wool, and bits from other projects.
Practical solution, zero waste, and now no one has cold feet in the studio 👣☺️

It’s that time of the year… and I’d be lying if I said this job didn’t feel a bit like peeling an onion 🧅😅
Layers and layers and layers…

But totally worth it when you finally see the result ✨

This customer had her vanhojen tanssit coming up and needed her dress shortened: short enough to move and dance comfortably, but long enough not to reveal the shoes. Tricky? Yes. Impossible? Not at all.

And honestly… we think she looks absolutely fantastic 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
