“Central College of Lautoka successfully defended their Under-15 title at the Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship 2026, defeating AD Patel College 1-0 in the final at Subrail Park in Labasa.”

Central College of Lautoka successfully defended their Under-15 title at the Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship 2026, defeating AD Patel College 1-0 in the final at Subrail Park in Labasa.

The Lautoka school showed consistency throughout the championship, combining disciplined defending with organised football to once again emerge as the best U15 side in the country.

Central College booked their place in the final with a 2-0 victory over Vunimono High School in the semi-final, while AD Patel College had to battle past Labasa College 4-3 on penalties to secure their spot in the decider.

The final proved to be a tight contest, with both teams showing why they deserved to be on the biggest stage. Central College, however, made their opportunity count, scoring the decisive goal and then holding firm to secure a 1-0 victory.

The triumph capped off another impressive campaign for Central College and saw them retain the U15 national championship title.

For AD Patel College, it was still an outstanding tournament as they fought their way through to the final and finished as national runners-up.

The U15 competition once again highlighted the promising young football talent coming through Fiji's secondary schools, with several teams producing competitive and entertaining performances throughout the four-day championship.
