❗️Important announcement about future carnyx orders❗️

I'm fully booked with carnyx orders until 2028. From now on, I'll only take 4 carnyx orders per year.

I've been making and selling carnyx since 2020, and now I would like to focus on bronze casting and bronze age reproductions such as lurs, swords, jewelry...

Being busy all year round with carnyx making, I don't have any room for new experiments. This is why I will slow down on carnyx orders.

For almost a year, I have been working on the prototype of a Bronze Age lur (replica of Brudevælte n°3 and n°4). And of course, I want to do it using the techniques they could have been using, that is to say, lost-wax casting using beeswax and a clay-based mould.

Every trial and error takes weeks to improve, sometimes even months. This is why it is taking so much time, but I have been learning a lot, and I finally ended up with this base prototype.

Now I will start again with what I have learned and try to make a full lur this time, but the Revheim lurs, which are going to be a bit easier to make.

In the past couple of days the focus has been preparation for the bronze age festival at Vitlycke Museum. I have made models of bronze swords based on finds in Sweden and Denmark. The longer sword is a particularly elegant example found in Hököpinge in south Sweden. The short sword is based on the swords of the Dyrstup hoard in Denmark. We will do castings with these models during the daily demonstrations, using a smelting furnace of Broze Age type. I will talk about these swords, their design and context during my lecture on Sunday.

Hi! I was not posting a lot in the past months because we were busy moving from France to Sweden!
We finally did it, in May we established on the beautiful island of Orust where the landscape and nature is amazing. I'm working at Vitlycke museum during the summer and I'm slowly setting up my workshop to keep working on the carnyx and more!
