Feminists should still feel empowered on Halloween.👻

There are women dressed as cats, witches and superheroes; all of these are scant and revealing costumes, as is the Halloween tradition nowadays.

Behind the mask, can these women be feminists? Or are they exactly the opposite? Feminism, simply put, is the equality of women and men.

Most importantly, as said by Emma Watson, "Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with." If feminism is about freedom of equality and freedom of choice, then why shouldn't women be able to dress provocatively without threat or criticism? Dressing promiscuously does not lower the worth of a woman.♥

For centuries, women have dressed rebelliously as a form of empowerment.

In an ideal feminist society, women may dress in whatever way empowers them - whether it's going without a bra, by wearing a hijab or by wearing fishnets and a short skirt - without their worth being questioned.

The women on Halloween dressed in lingerie deserve the exact same amount of respect as the women dressed in T-shirts.

For women, if dressing provocatively on Halloween is what makes them feel fun, sexy or powerful, then they have every right to do so and every right to still call themselves feminists.

The freedom to choose how spooky or sexy one’s costume is encapsulates exactly what feminism is about.✊👊👊🏿✊

A report has claimed that a Premier League footballer believes he "will be crucified" if he comes out as gay and has undergone therapy in fear of homophobic abuse from fans

A gay Premier League footballer is undergoing therapy over fears of abuse from fans, according to a report.

The top-flight star said his situation is "terrifying" and that he "will be crucified" if he comes out as homosexual.

Former Norwich City striker and England youth international Justin Fashanu came out in 1990 and took his own life eight years later following his retirement.

Since then, there has not been an active player from England's top tier to follow in Fashanu's footsteps by publicly revealing that they are gay.

The Sun report that campaigner Amal Fashanu, his niece, has spoken to the unnamed Premier League player, who believes he should be able to come out without being subjected to abuse in 2021.

But the star believes some supporters on the terraces are 'still in the 1980s,' when the topic of homosexuality was more taboo.
