For Amin Kader, every garment should be designed with the Woman in mind. He has always said he began designing for them, as to him, they are the vectors thanks to whom the world lives, moves, and that his creations should accompany that movement. Each piece shall therefore be constructed with that purpose: practical, balanced, precise, and never overshadowing the personality of the soul wearing it, as a « garment well cut never confines, it enhances ».

Transforming elements of the classical tailoring masculine wardrobe has been one of the backbone of his practice. To transcend it into something deeply feminine while keeping a subtle masculine touch: « accentuating the shoulders, softening the waist but defining the hips, playing with lapels… Crafting true classics, made from exceptional fabrics by exceptional hands. A woman needs singularity, to wear something simple, yet unseen anywhere else. ».

Amin Kader strives to create silhouettes that rest the eye with their balanced construction and discreet details. Pure, versatile pieces, instinctively designed to stand the test of time.

« I was never drawn to following trends » confessed Amin Kader to Hélène le Masson, founder of when questioned about the timeless nature of his creations. An ethos and a promise that has been unerring and ongoing for over half a century. « I wanted to break away from garments so over-styled they overshadow the person wearing them. My approach has always been to let one’s personality shine, through the purity of a cut, the richness of a fabric, the precision of a detail. I have always pared down things. »
For Amin Kader, couture is an art of extreme precision, and for him, adding or removing even one millimeter on a shoulder can transform the entire expression of a piece. He likes to think « there is a kind of silent magic that unfolds between the fabric and the hands that shape it. As it drapes over the mannequin, the garment reveals itself, moment by moment. It is immediate. It happens in the present, in silence.
Sometimes, the process resists us, you tear it all apart, tempers flare. And then, one morning, everything aligns, effortlessly, as if the piece had always existed.
In the end, it is the hand that decides, more than the eye or the mind. That is why no machine can ever replace it. ».
