Until 14 February, the exhibition of Japanese woodcraft artist Nakagawa Shuji continues at Biën; gallery.

Through his work, Nakagawa reveals the quiet vitality of wood — shaped by time, guided by hand, and rooted in Japanese tradition while speaking a contemporary language. Each piece holds a sense of warmth, patience, and a deep respect for the material itself.

Hailing from Arita, Saga Prefecture, Terui (b. 1974) continues to create in his hometown, using only the traditional methods and materials of Arita-yaki. His porcelain, known for its gentle milky-white tones, beautifully bridges tradition and modernity.⁠

We are happy to announce the launch of a special exhibition at Biën; featuring the works of So Terui, running from September 4–13.⁠

Born in Arita, Saga Prefecture in 1974, Terui continues to create ceramics in his hometown, using only the traditional materials of Arita-yaki. His soft, milky-white porcelain pieces balance centuries-old craftsmanship with a fresh, modern sensibility.⁠
