This garment is inspired by the
war in Syria. The war has been going on for 10 years
and 600,000 people have already been
murdered. The shape of the dress is
Inspired by the Kafan. This kafan is a linen cloth
which is wrapped around the person to bury him with it. This is written in the Quran. This wrapping in the cloth
is also a ritual ablution, a collective
obligation for those Muslims who are able to perform.
It is performed immediately after the completion of the
ritual ablution. The color red
in the design stands for the blood of the 600.000
people who died in the war.
The Cap with the black veil is supposed to represent
the mourning and the losses of the family members. The Arabic writing on the
on the belts means Make Love Not
War and Pray For Syria. This writing is to symbolize the
protest against the war and the hope for
the end of the war.
