Sharing a little bit about my obsession with men's clothing from the 1920s to the 1950s.
It's been on my mind for years now, and is featured in my inspiration notebooks: button-fly boxer shorts for men. At a time when elastic did not yet exist, and wives sewed clothes for different members of the family, these boxer shorts were made at home, using sewing patterns that could be purchased.
The front was double-buttoned, and the crossover at the back or sides allowed the waist to be adjusted. This dune-shaped waistband is very characteristic of this type of underwear, which has now disappeared.
This iconic shape has been reinterpreted to create the Jacme pants, to which I have added flat pleats and darts for a perfect fit, invisible pockets, and wide legs.
These unisex pants are made from wool and cashmere canvas in our Parisian studio.
