His Irish background has influenced his dreamer vision, including the beauty of telling stories and creating something special, which he does through his candles. Candles are an important part of a rich tradition in Danish culture, offering themselves as simple objects with limit

Patrick Coard Candles is a brand that believes in the intimacy and power that surrounds the nature of candles. Each line explores the unlimited range of where candles can be taken and how each one morphs into the individual’s space. Patrick Coard was drawn to the unpredictable nature of candles, thus the beauty in seeing each candle create its own story over time. The collection of candle sculptures can be seen as a larger family, each piece with its own unique characteristics.
