Each thread carries history, love, and meaning. When I see it being worn, I have this feeling that it brings our traditions to life, through every stitch, every story, and every shared moment.

Kimono “Spirit of the Depths”

Ce kimono est une œuvre chargée, à la croisée du visible et de l’intime.
Chaque point de sashiko trace, avec patience, les méandres d’un état émotionnel profond, tissé de silence et de mouvement intérieur.
C’est une pièce habitée, née d’un besoin de dire sans mots.

Réalisé à la main à partir d’un textile vintage en indigo naturel, teint avec soin par les femmes Dogon d’Afrique de l’Ouest, ce tissu ancien porte en lui la mémoire des gestes et du temps.
Son toucher est doux, presque vivant, patiné par les années, vibrant de chaleur et d’histoire.

Ce kimono est une variation du thème, un autre chapitre de la série “Spirit of the Depths”, une exploration de l’âme à travers le textile.

Le popup d’été se termine le 2 août. Je vous tiendrai au courant de l’ouverture d’automne d’ici la fin du mois d’août: les dates, les horaires, et le lieu seront partagés très bientôt.

Je prépare encore beaucoup de belles surprises, et je fais de mon mieux pour que le tissu devienne un art que l’on peut voir, toucher, faire glisser entre les manches, ressentir… pour que cette émotion passe de la main au cœur.

Getting in Shape⚡️
BL-Kimono Stories
Imagine a piece of African fabric, handwoven, naturally dyed with indigo, journeying through seasons and across borders. It carries the landscapes, the emotions, and the memories of those who once wore it.
Who tied it on a summer morning at the village market? What conversations did it witness in the case à palabres? What dances did it flow with under the blue Sahel sky?

It’s a living dialogue between African textile traditions and kimono-inspired cuts from Japan. 🇯🇵

By honoring the past, we imagine the future.
Our kimonos are bridges between cultures, between what came before us and what lies ahead. Pieces to pass on, to live in, to reinterpret.

This kimono is a sagu a word from the Dogon language that means: I confide in you.
A simple and powerful word.💪🏾✨
A fabric-bound trust. An intimate link between the one who wears it and the stories it carries.

Il n’y a rien qu’on aime plus que de vous voir porter nos kimonos cet été 🌞
Chaque pièce est faite à la main, avec des tissus indigo africains traditionnels, pensés pour vivre aussi bien sur les plages de Dakar, la côte bretonne, que dans les ruelles de Lisbonne ou de Paris.
Elles racontent une histoire celle de l’Afrique qui voyage, qui inspire, qui rencontre d’autres cultures et s’enrichit à chaque étape.
