New arrival: a stylish vase by a famous artiste, Kosho Ito (1932-2024). He was the son of Ito Katsunori Shoten, a metal engraver from Kanazawa. At the age of 14, he apprenticed under Nakamura Suiko, a master of Kutani ware. Although he briefly worked as a newspaper reporter, he went on to pursue a career as an artist. Later he moved his base to Kasama (ibaraki), where he created works centered on clay as a material, including sculptural pieces as well as vases, tea ware, and sake ware.
