Beaux Brocantes

Bringing essences of vintage France to your home. Bienvenue! Welcome to Beau Brocantes. It will also ensure my future in this beautiful and fascinating country.

Having recently committed to living full time in South West France, I have started Beau Brocantes as a project which will not only provide me a career in something I am passionate about but hopefully make my love of Brocanting and vintage goods into more of a productive venture than it is currently (i.e. filling my home with beautiful items which I simply don't have the room for!!!). I have grown

to love the classic French style, rustic and stylish and although not everything I will be repurposing, restoring and rehoming is French, they encompass the French style I have grown to love. I will provide information on each of the items I display here and of the process involved in how I acquired and/or breathed love into it! I relish recognising and highlighting the beauty in unwanted or unloved pieces and bringing that beauty into the homes of others.....

If you have any questions, comments or even requests for things I can look for on my Brocanting trips please don't hesitate to contact me! Have been making stencils today amongst other things and it's trickier than it looks! I've also acquired a beautiful Thonet style bentwood rocking chair which I cannot wait to get started on but holding back until I've finished the many other half completed pieces in the workshop! I've always been easily distracted but this week is going to be a productive one.... Honest! Keep your eye out for further posts my lovelies!

Off for a day at the coast today but ill just leave these here..... Treadle base drying after a refresh and an little peek at the colour scheme it will be adopting! Have a lovely Sunday everybody!

Treadle crazy I am! I thought I'd better start fixing and cleaning them seeing as I seem to be becoming a treadle hoarder! These two Singers are in need of a little tlc and I have two more waiting in the wings! And I am fully prepared to buy more... No shame!
