Join me for a relaxed day exploring the magical art of nuno felting.

We’ll combine silk, wool, water, soap and a little patience to create beautiful one-of-a-kind scarves using luxurious natural fibres.

No experience necessary.

Transform silk, wool, water and soap into a fabric that never existed before.

Watch loose fibres become cloth, and cloth become art.

All materials provided.

A little update into my world of felting and creature making . I am transitioning to different kinds of textile art and wet felting is still part of it - but not always … mainly because of the physical work involved. I am therefore doing a lot more needle felting and embellishing my wet felted items with my sewing machine — which is happy to be pulled out .

I going in a slightly different direction with felting. While I will still make clothes - at this point I am really drawn to fantasy creatures, symbolism, and magic. I have therefore been doing more needlefelting and often combine it with wet felting and sewing by hand and by machine. I am finding the process so much more grounding, and calmer for me than only wet felting.
Here are a few creations .. some are works in progress

Oh / Eau

Elle porte la vie comme l’eau porte la mémoire.
Attirée par la lune, elle veille, elle contient, elle permet.
Essentielle, silencieuse, éternelle.
She carries life as water carries memory.
Drawn by the moon, she holds, protects, and allows.
Essential, silent, eternal

A new red dress … felted bodice onto silk chiffon which was sewn onto silk taffeta circle skirt . I have had the gorgeous fabric for years and I am finally putting it to good use. Normally I do not sew anything - it is all felted - but taffeta is impossible to felt - the weave is too tight.
This will be shown at the défilé de mode à Chef boutonne samedi 12 avril à 1845
