Should provinces be allowed to run their own immigration programs without Ottawa’s approval?
It’s a debate Canada can’t ignore forever. Immigration affects jobs, housing, fairness, identity, provincial needs, and the future of the country itself.
Some say provinces know their own labour markets best. Others say immigration must stay nationally coordinated to protect unity and fairness.
Avoiding the debate does not make the problem disappear.
