Tomorrow Tusson is on tv filming ALERT!! French television station France 3 informed the Mayor, Daniel Lherideau, they would be coming into the village to spend a day filming.
We do not yet know the full details, but the shops, restaurant, bar and other attractions will all be open to assist with the filming.
It is a great time to visit this pretty village and see the many things it has to offer. Listed below are just some of the things to see and do in Tusson:
Museum and house of Marguerite d'Anglouleme - new exhibition and medieval monastic gardens
Gare à l'art - this year they have over 30 artists and artisans displaying and selling their works
L'Archipelle - stained glass exhibition and workshops
L'Echauguette - Tusson tea rooms situated in, probably, the prettiest square in which to enjoy a drink, cake, or ice-cream
The épicerie (corner shop) which sells bread, groceries, as well as many, many other things!
Lydia's Cakes and Flower shop (to be opened soon), until the shop opens is selling her Gateaux and flowers every Sunday morning and for other special occasions
Le Compostelle Restaurant - will be open as usual, serving their excellent food
The Tusson Pottery - next to the post office, see the excellent pottery of Marjolène et André
La Maison de Charente - open as usual, selling amazing regional products, including duck, local cheeses, wines, beers amongst many other things
La Boutique Tusson - open at 10 am until 5 pm with vintage, antiques, gifts, jewellery and greeting cards. There is also a Tusson history corner in English and French.
Visit the largest prehistoric Burial mounds in Europe just outside of Tusson.
It is definitely worth wandering around Tusson to admire the many fascinating historic buildings.
