Midnight's Carnival

We have a basement room available in our Herb & Spice shop in Rosemount, AB25, for daily incidental hire, £30 from 9am to 5pm.

It includes:
Access to the upstairs toilet and basin facility, 3 x foldable 6ft trestle tables, bring your own tablecloths or use ours (black), 3-4 chairs, 4 power points for plug-ins, unmetered electricity for reasonable use, about 12 halogen spotlights, Internet connection, a heater, a large grey floor rug, and a closeable glass paneled door for privacy.
Access is down a flight of 12 stairs, leading from the front door of the shop, so your clients can just go straight down to see you. It doesn't have disability access.
There are a few paintings and decorations in there right now but they change as the use of the room changes. We're happy for you to take down or hang decorative items or signage as you see fit, or to bring your own specialist table, just to make it your space for the day.

Usage:
We're very interested in herbalist consultations/alternative therapy based practices utilizing the room, and it would best suit pre-made appointment schedules rather than anything requiring a customer footfall. As we sell a fair range of medicinal teas and herbs, it could be a good place for a qualified consulting herbalist to work from a couple of times a month. We can always discuss a consulting/dispensing arrangement to work in tandem.

That said: Reflexology, Reiki, Naturopath work, massage therapy, Craniosacral therapy, Acupressure/Acupuncture, Mediumship, Tarot readings etc, would work well, and if anyone would like to run small workshops of any kind, there is space for 3-4 attendees + a speaker/demonstrator (but you'll need to supply a couple more chairs.)

We also help with advertising your proposed availability if you have a sign to put up in our window, or if you want to make a shareable facebook post. We're happy to hand out your business cards, however, please directly arrange your own client bookings.

It's just dawned on me that I have been dealing in the dark side since 2005, when I first started in this trade. It's been a blast, and I have met all sorts of weird and wonderful people on my travels. Some of the pictures are 17 years old now but they bring back the memories of every event I've had the pleasure of attending. Here's to many more: Party on, girls and ghouls!

I run my custom costumery side as Midnight's Studio, and I machine sew much of it, the rest is handsewn. Some of these pics are off the cuff, so you have a bit of behind-the-scenes too.
I will also make custom pieces to order. My specialty is faux fur.

Having worked in the mainstream commercial costume industry, I soon decided I wanted to create a theme that spoke more to the alternative ego. Midnight's Carnival is the culmination of the last 20 years immersed in this work and I love it. 💜
