I had an awards ceremony to attend this week so I decided to make myself a dress.
I've had this fabric washed and ready to make this dress on my to do pile for a while and in true me style I just finished it in time......the day before, which is an improvement to a few hours beforehand! 😂

Fabric is a beautiful cranberry washed linen by from Aberdashery. It's one of my favourites and I've made a few things with it now, such a rich colour and the texture of the fabric is lovely 😍 the fabric and pattern combo work perfectly!

Pattern is the Charli Ann wrap dress by it's one of my favourite dress patterns to make up. I love all the details of this wrap dress, the high low tulip hem and the statement flutter sleeves.

Day 26

This is my last one now, I promise 🙂

I'm wearing my Lyra shirt dress made using a viscose crepe.

I love all the details on this pattern, the sleeves and the swishy fabric, it moves beautifully.
I'm just not to sure about midi length dresses on me. With my next one I'm going to do a maxi length version and do the skirt section in just two pieces instead of tired.

I think I'm going to make just a shirt blouse with this fabric next using the top part of this to keep all the details that I like and hack it with another pattern for the rest of the blouse.

Day 25

I'm wearing my Stevie dress made using a quilting cotton.
The boats have little lace sail details in the print so I used lace in the tie on the back ⛵

Day 24

I'm wearing my Bobbi pinafore dress made using a forest green cotton corduroy. I altered the side seams with this one to make the skirt a little less a-line.

Day 23

I'm wearing my Ava skirt made using fabric from a vintage curtain that was given to me years ago. I decided to line this one with some special satin from my Grandmother's stash to match the colour in the roses.

I love the texture and the print of this fabric and have been trying to decide what to make out of it for a long time. It's a barkcloth which is quite hard to find these days, it's got such a great texture and holds its shape well.

Day 22

I'm wearing my other Indigo smock dress made from this beautiful Liberty cotton.

I've shortened the back bodice on this one so that the back hem doesn't drop, I've added a tie to the waist and added a button up back, using their add on pattern.

This one is another favourite of mine to wear.

Day 21

I'm wearing my Charli Anne wrap dress made from a beautiful viscose crepe, it's a floaty fabric and I love the way it feels and moves. It can be a challenge to work with as it likes to move so much and there are a few extra things that can be done to make it behave a little better but it's worth all the hard work in the end.

I love the flutter sleeves on this dress and the tulip hem it adds a lovely bit of detail to it. I've got a few different fabrics set aside to make more of these dresses, they're lovely to wear to a wedding but also great for summer days too.

Day 18

I'm wearing my Indigo smock dress made from a blue and white stripey cotton.
I really like this pattern and I've made a couple of these now with plans for more. The structure of the cotton makes the flounce sleeves hold their shape well which I love.

I've made this as it is with no adjustments but on my next one I've shortened the back bodice pattern piece by 1.5cm and graded it to fit the front bodice as I find the back hem drops a lot lower than the front, on me.
