Tarmac's brilliant, genuinely. Without it you'd never get the trailer to the meeting.

Smooth. Predictable. Grippy. Everyone braking on purpose, in a straight line, where they meant to. Lovely stuff. Bit clean, mind.

Then you turn off it, and the surface stops behaving. The line moves every lap. The grip is a rumour. You can't see the apex so you aim at where it was last time and commit. You come home with half a field in the radiator and a grin you can't get rid of.

That's racing. The other bit was just the drive.

👉 Now, before the tarmac lot get their helmets in a twist — your comeback is already on the drawing board. Your version's coming, and it'll be every bit as smug as this one.
