This is my last wee project. Lately I had chance to have some sparrings with Roman soldiers during my reenactment events, but not everybody are familiar with the use of real swords, and somebody can be intimidated by them, so I made a couple of wooden swords.
I took inspiration by the Irish Ballykilmurray bog wooden sword, but for the shape I wanted to make them similar to the Embleton sword as it's more correct for our period and location.

So, I'm back from my holiday. Sadly holidays are always too short...
It has been very interesting visiting Rwanda, I think visiting Africa is something ispirational that everybody should do at least once in their life. Now I know why exists what they called "le mal d'Afrique".
I visited places, I ate a lot, and I had my first safari!
Oh, and I got engaged ahahaha🥳

A couple of new projects, but first, tomorrow I'll take a break from life :D After more than one year I'll go on holiday...

It's quite a long time that I don't share anything. This is because last year was really rough for me, resulting in not having a workshop anymore, affecting big time my productivity.
Anyway, in my new flat I needed of a wee hallway table and I thought: why buying a cheap one when I can build one for the double of the money?🤣
So there you go. Well, not my best job, but considering I made it in my living room without all the proper tools, I'm quite satisfied. 🙂

Winter hibernation is finally over, and spring and life are back again. We needed a for our home, so I thought: "Hey, why don't you try making one?", and after a couple of weeks, this is the result. I'm quite happy with my last work as it's all (apart from the k**b), and, as usual, I didn't use power tools at all. Just my Ironage saw, files, knife, plane, and chisel. Oh, and of course a lot of elbow grease.🙂
