Our response to recent coverage on UK water pollution.

Like many people and families in the wild swimming community, we’ve been deeply affected by recent coverage highlighting the state of UK waterways.

SwimSense was created to support real-time water awareness at the water’s edge — helping swimmers understand changing conditions where and when they swim.

It does not replace official monitoring or lab testing, and it does not claim to detect everything.

What it does do is provide immediate, accessible insight that allows swimmers to notice change, compare different entry points, and make informed choices in the moment.

Awareness is not alarm.
It’s the first step toward accountability.

We believe informed swimmers are empowered swimmers — and that understanding our water helps protect it.

We’ll be sharing more practical guidance over the coming weeks for those who want to understand their swim spots better, calmly and responsibly 🙏
