This wekend is the ASHBOURNE ART TRAIL and Equatorial is hosting a fantastic creative artist treehuggery as part of the event

Our back room downstairs will be a showcase for all of her work and you wll have an opportunity to buy artwork direct with 100% of the money going to the artist. Our doors will be open to anyone and everyone free of charge but most of the artists on the trail will be in indoor venues around town which you will need to show your wristband to enter. You will be able to buy tickets across the Square from us at Handmade Design. The event runs Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 to 4pm.

What to Expect: Over 100 regional artists and makers displaying works—including paintings, ceramics, and photography
Activities: Live music, street food, artist demonstrations, and creative workshops.
Ticketing: A £5 weekend wristband grants access to all venues, and includes a printed map (under-12s are free).
Times: Saturday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Matlock Bath open till 10.30 -6pm Friday and 10.30-7pm Saturday/Sunday/Monday

Ashbourne 11am till 4.30 Friday/Sunday/Monday and 10.30-5pm Saturday

CUBAFROBEAT at the Ashbourne Festival - an 8 piece band where Cuba mixes with West Africa. Sambroso Sambroso the Cuban extravaganza link up with Dele Sosimi - an original member of Fela Kuti's band. It's bank holiday weekend and we are crammed to the rafters with funky feel good summer stock and chilly nights Jackets and Ponchos. Both shops open all weekend including Bank Holiday Monday and Matlock Bath will be open Friday and Saturday until 7pm so come on down. Full opening hours here

That strange wondrous golden orb rarely seen through our grey clouded sky seems set to stay in our skies for the next few days. So the perfect time to have a little weekend jaunt and come visit us and pick up some goodies whilst basking in this glorious phenomenon. Ashbourne is now spruced up, puckered up and looking ship-shaped and gloriously Reborn after all the shenanigans of last year. The roads are clear, the car parks are open so no excuse any more not to visit. And of course Matlock Bath is simply stunning in the spring and the Derwent is full and gloriously fast flowing after all the dewy drops we've had. Both shops open all weekend.
