Ooh I've finished my stretch version of the Hailey Shirt and it went brilliantly! And I finally have a white (ok, its ivory..) shirt that I'd been wanting to make for ages!

❤ Pattern Launch Day! The Hailey Shirt (with all four sleeve options) is now ready and in the shop! It comes with 3/4 sleeves, a sleeveless option, and frill and flutter sleeves too! So many options to choose from. Which sleeves are your favourite? Make it in anything from a viscose for a floaty shirt, to a flannel or cotton for a more typical collared shirt feel. It is a relaxed fit, incredibly comfy, but can also be dressed up for work or those zoom meetings :) Designed to be a pattern you can buy once and make so many variations from!

Buttonholes are done on sample #2 🤩 They're so pretty I kind of hate to cut into them! Next up I'm working on getting the line drawings and photos ready for the pattern testing call!

Maybe one of these times I'll manage to make it a complete surprise for launch day, but not this time! Oh yes, she has buttons :) Now that I've gone and opened the spoiler tap expect more sneaky peeks coming soon x

Learn to sew welt pockets! I promise once you've tried it, you'll be so proud of what you've done :) I wrote very detailed instructions for things like welt pockets in the Casey sweater, so even (especially!) if it is your first set of welt pockets you'll have all the steps you need to learn. Finished pics of my Lily Top! For my size (cara) it only takes 1m to make this 🥰 It's a very floaty teal fabric with white ruffle and cuffs for contrast. I love how the white pops against that beautiful shade of teal! Have I mentioned how little fabric it uses? 😍

🥰 Rosalee skirt pieces all cut out! I'm making a skirt only version this time. The skirt will be maxi length and I'm going to line it with some white viscose, using the knee length version for those pieces. I meant to try out a deeper waistband for this version but went on auto pilot and totally forgot. 🙃 Oh well, regular size band it is!

🥰 Ahhh!! The Rosalee Dress has been chosen as a finalist in the 2021 British Sewing Awards for best sewing pattern! I'm so incredibly excited! The winner will be decided by a celebrity judge and announced in October. Of course I'd love to win but right now I'm absolutely over the moon being a finalist! Giddy and emotional are good ways to describe how I'm feeling. 🥰

IN LOVE! My plan is to use the skirt portion of the Rosalee and modify the zip and waistband to make a swooshy maxi skirt that I can pair with tees or blouses 😍 I _was_ holding off buying more fabric until I'd finished my wips but I couldn't not get this as soon as I saw post pictures of this beauty! It's "watercolour splash viscose" and I'm so sorry to tempt you because I think it sold out within an hour? But they do have lots of other really lovely viscose! 🥰
