The vision from .
With the pattern placement correct the front was sewn.
When re fitted on the dummy the shoulder seam was visually too long so the sleeve opening was altered.
You can see on the final picture how by altering the shoulder length the proportion looks balanced.

Pictures of the back pleats of the sleeveless lined top.
The 1st picture you can see the pleats are pinned in place. I then sewed 3 lines of curved stitching from side seam to side seam. But the fabric had lots of bounce and I felt it didn't define the waist enough so I added a 4th line which stabilised the pleats and brought the waist line in.
Do accentuate the back further the front was cut shorter and a split was added, this also ment it could be tucked in.

The inspiration for the back of the sleeveless top came from this soft pleated blouse.

Slashing a block to create fullness was a little experimental until I perfected the fullness needed.
